Key Activities and Milestones
1. Content Consolidation
- Collect all course components including:
- Text-based lessons
- Audio and video materials
- PDFs and downloadable handouts
- Quizzes, assignments, and interactive elements
- Ensure all materials are final, updated, and approved by instructors or course designers.
2. Content Formatting and Compression
- Optimize file formats for mobile use and offline compatibility:
- Videos compressed without quality loss
- PDFs resized for mobile screens
- Audio optimized for low-storage devices
- Apply universal naming conventions for easier indexing and retrieval.
3. App Integration
- Upload all finalized content into the SayPro content management system (CMS).
- Tag and categorize each module for easy navigation.
- Link interactive components (e.g., quizzes) with in-app tracking features.
4. Offline Access Configuration
- Enable offline download options for each piece of content.
- Set up smart sync options to allow automatic downloading of new materials when users connect to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure that all downloads are encrypted and secure for offline use.
5. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct internal testing on various devices and operating systems to ensure:
- Content loads properly offline
- Media files play without issues
- Progress tracking works offline and syncs when back online
- Fix any bugs or inconsistencies identified during the testing phase.
6. User Interface Review
- Ensure the app interface clearly shows which materials are available for offline access.
- Add visual indicators (e.g., download icons, storage usage alerts).
- Simplify download and delete options to enhance usability.
7. Prepare Support Resources
- Create short guides or tutorials on how learners can download and access content offline.
- Develop FAQs and help articles inside the app and on the SayPro support page.
Expected Outcome by 01-10-2025
By the end of this phase:
- All course materials will be successfully integrated and available offline in the SayPro app.
- Learners will be able to start the course with the full option to download content, even before they begin.
- The app will be ready for real-world learner use under different internet conditions.
