SayPro Required Documents: Proof of Identification
As part of the registration process, SayPro requires all applicants to submit valid Proof of Identification. This ensures that each participant meets the eligibility criteria, particularly the minimum age requirement of 16 years, and helps maintain transparency and accountability across all entries.
1. Purpose of Submitting Identification
The submission of a valid ID allows SayPro to:
- Verify the identity and age of the applicant.
- Prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or ineligible registrations.
- Accurately maintain participant records and correspondence.
- Ensure fair and secure participation across all SayPro programs and competitions.
2. Accepted Forms of Identification
Applicants may provide any one of the following official documents:
- National Identity Card:
A government-issued ID that includes your full name, date of birth, photograph, and ID number. - Passport:
An internationally recognized identification document with a photo, personal information, nationality, and expiration date. - Student Identification Card:
Accepted for students, provided it contains a photo, full name, date of birth, and an official institution stamp or logo. May require supplementary documentation if under 18.
Note: For group submissions, each member must provide their own proof of identification.
3. Submission Requirements
- Format:
A high-quality scan or clear photo of the ID (JPEG, PNG, or embedded in PDF). - Clarity:
All key details must be clearly visible, including:- Full name
- Date of birth
- Photograph
- ID number (if applicable)
- Expiry date (for passports and some IDs)
- Language:
IDs in languages other than English should be accompanied by an English translation, either self-translated or certified.
4. Integration into Submission
- The Proof of Identification should be included in the main Submission Package (as a separate page or appendix), or uploaded directly to the registration portal if prompted during sign-up.
- Label the file clearly using the following naming format:
SayPro_IDProof_YourFullName.pdf
(For groups:SayPro_IDProof_TeamName_MemberName.pdf)
5. Privacy and Data Protection
SayPro adheres to strict data protection policies:
- All identification documents are handled securely and used solely for internal verification.
- Documents will not be shared, published, or used for any purpose beyond confirming eligibility.
- IDs are stored on encrypted systems and deleted after the verification and program cycle ends, in accordance with SayPro’s privacy policy.
6. Support and Exceptions
If you are unable to provide one of the accepted forms of identification due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., displacement, informal education status), please contact SayPro directly to discuss acceptable alternatives.
