    For AI, prompts are instructions that guide a model to generate content like text, images, or code. In older computing, a prompt was a message displayed by a command-line interface indicating it was ready for user input.This was today’s topic: “Mastering Prompting.

    Prompting serves as the input and effective  prompting requires clear and precise information.

    We have different prompting techniques which we call PROMPT ENGINEERING.I am only going to mention few of them because the list is long.#Gemini #Chat GPT #Claude AI #Microfost Copilot.

    When prompting you have to:

    ¹Be clear and specific :you should give AI a clue of what you are talking about.

    ²Adding context changes the game: you should provide background information of how you want the statement to be understood.

The effectiveness of prompting lies in its ability to elicit accurate and relevant responses from AI systems.

    Prompting is like giving directions to a computer. When we give a clear and specific prompt, the AI system can understand what we want and provide a relevant response. For example, if we ask a language model to “write a short story about a robot who befriends a child,” it will generate a story based on its understanding of the prompt.

    Clear prompts are essential for getting the desired output from AI systems. When we provide specific and well-defined prompts, the AI system can focus on generating a relevant response. This is because AI systems rely on input-output patterns to learn and improve. By providing clear prompts, we help the AI system understand what we want, and it can generate a response that meets our needs.

    In AI systems, input refers to the prompt or question we provide, while output is the response generated by the system. The quality of the output depends on the quality of the input. When we provide a clear and specific prompt, the AI system can generate a high-quality response. For instance, if we ask a language model to “explain the concept of gravity in simple terms,” it will provide a clear and concise explanation.

    What I have learn about mastering promoting is that promoting is to act of giving specific instructions questions or statement to a Generative AI tool and promoting can help you to preparing for interview it can give you some skills and have clue of what you must say at your interview and you need to ask it some specific questions of what job you need and how many years of expires so that it can help you with what you want you must not but you personal details and you need to clear with what you are saying it help you with some problem solving and how to communicate and you need to add  context .

    And you need understand  AI limitations it have limits just know that you are asking it just be careful of what you are asking it having it can help you to find a good jobs and help you with your CV just no that and it can help you with spellings and give you clue with lot of things and using it is a good idea and but just know that it can have an error and protect your privacy and most of the company a using it to chose employers for there company  I learn that and its applications which is a great starting point and also I learn that it can make you crate your own project to get an experience  and it is not 100/  accuracy and using it sometimes it can make a mistake at the same time it can help you and it helps children with there school work and you can ask it something important and promoting refers to the act of  giving specific instructions questions or statement to a generative AI tool.

  • SUCCESS STORY  ON MASTERING PROMPTING BY UVILE TABATA  (24 – OCTOBER – 2025)

    In today’s lesson I learned about mastering prompting, where I understood the meaning of the word prompting means, in detail I learned that prompting means giving specific instructions or questions to a generative AI tool, I also learned that when giving these instructions or questions you must make sure that they are clear and precise so that you can get the information you’ll be asking for on a generative AI tool, I also learned that prompting deals with three things in which I can say that first you must be able to define, it serves as an input and output and as for the third one it’s effectiveness where you provide clear and precise language.

    As the time was going by and our facilitator was teaching us, I also learned about prompt engineering which became new to me, I learned what we mean about prompt engineering which in short words we can say that it is the skill of crafting precise language on a generative AI tool, I also learned that prompt engineering has it’s tools despite the fact that the others were not named but I did read about few in which I can say that the first tool is ChatGPT, claude, microsoft pilot and gemini.

    I also learned about prompt engineering lessons,where these lessons guide and help you when you asking a generative AI tool to help you on something you want to add or perfect in your CV or in something you want to understand about a specific job or company that you want to submit your resume in and also if you want to know about skills that would be perfect to add in your resume, I learned that when using a generative AI tool you must be clear and specific, also you must add a context and for the last lesson of prompt engineering lesson is that you must request desired format, it became clear to me that it is important to have the lessons because they help at guiding you to have a better output or results on your research on a generative AI tool.

    Since our topic on today’s lesson was about to end, I learned that there are four steps you must bare in mind when using any generative AI tool, because these steps also help you to use generative AI tools better and thoughtfully, at the first step says that you must understand AI limitations which becomes as a wake up call on your mind that when using a generative AI tools that you must understand that that there are things that you AI tool may not be able to weigh or to correspond to when using it, also that you must maximize AI strengths which it states that you must understand that you generative AI tool may not always produce or give you positive results, you must be careful because AI sometimes can cause hallucinations or give you the incorrect information, I also learned that you must stay informed about new GEN AI tools because some of them you may not be capable to use them carefully.

    My understanding based on today’s topic which is mastering prompting using Artificial Intelligence is that , it is about the way you are using AI in your assistance . Creating questions , giving out commands and other many ways to use Artificial Intelligence it is what called prompting. In our days everyone wants the shortcuts , by saying that I mean that using AI is the first thing that comes in mind , even though we like to use it we do not use it the right way or using it well so that it can give us clear results. The word Prompting refers to the act of giving specific instructions , questions or statements to GEN AI tool so that the tool can produce good results or can give you clear understanding .

    A Prompt serves as an input that directs the GEN AI on what kind of information or task expected , influencing the relevance and quality of the output . Prompting has effectiveness also , by saying that I mean that using prompting can make you have good research and understand more that you want to know more. It delivers the best results guaranteed . Prompt has different techniques that it uses ,sometimes these techniques can be called Prompt Engineers . We have many different Prompt techniques which can include the most famous ones like the ChatGPT , Gemini , Microsoft Copilot , Claude and many many more that I will not mention , but these ones that I have mentioned are the most popular ones . By using these Prompt Engineers you can be guaranteed to have more accurate answers or research .

    As we know that in everything that we learn , some have lessons , same as as in this topic that we are doing today which is Mastering Prompting. Prompt Engineering lessons can include the user to be clear and more specific in order to get required results . The second  lesson of Prompt Engineering  lesson is to Add context , by  saying  I mean the researcher have to say more about yourself ,like which experiences do you have , skills and capabilities . The last lesson of Prompting is Requesting Desired Format , this lesson requires you to be able to follow the steps so that the AI can give you the best results .

    Prompting helps us to understand how to use GEN AI more effectively so that we can be satisfied with the results that we get back from it. The are also some additional tips that we can use when using AI . Some of these tips include the understanding of Ai limitations ,this means that you cannot search everything or get every information that you want when using GEN AI . Tip number two is that you have to maximize GEN AI strengths , meaning you have to know GEN AI strengths , creativity and also language eg you cannot ask AI using your own language if you are an African person you can’t use your own African language when asking AI.  The other tip that we have is that we have to stay informed , we must always up to date with  GEN AI’s new tools so that we can know what to expect from it. The last tip of prompting is Privacy , we must be aware that when using the internet we have know what to ask and we must be private . Privacy is the most important tip because it can lead to something else bad.

    All in all in this topic that we have done today was interesting and I believe that it will help us in future and also improve the way we use GEN AI to get the desired results .

    Today I have leaned that Mastering prompting is all about understanding the Gen AI and have the ability to proved relevant question ,statements and commend.you need to know that Gen AI is like a person it gives you what you want,so if you ask a question that is not specific you get a wrong information.In mastering the are steps you need to know or understand .Prompting refers to being able to give specific question to generative AI tools, serves as a input that to direct AI on what kind of information or task is expected.

    Every time you ask a question or statement you need to clear don’t just ask.In mastering prompting the is something called prompter techniques it is a skill of crafting that uses ChatGPT,Clouds,Gemini and Microsoft copilot.I will use an example you’re looking for a job as a cleaner you have no experience but you know how to clean.first you need to asked the chatgpt what skills are needed when you are looking for a job as a general worker,make sure you don’t you say I’m Anami Beni 22 years do not put your personal details, be specific.Think clear after getting your answer and you are satisfied do step two.Step two add context it helps the Gen AI to be more specific, ask about the company that hire general work’s who don’t have experience but can clean.In every answer you receive the Gen AI always gives you an option that says do you need far assistance so if your not satisfied you it continues.

    The step number three ask the Gen AI for tips this tips help the AI to give you step by step on found the good company and the cleaning products names and how to use them.Gen AI will guide on preparing in finding correct and useful information and giving you the knowledge you need.After every research do a follower to define or clarify your information.
