Objective: Engage participants actively during workshops and discussions to create an interactive and inclusive event environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for the Session
- Review the session objectives and materials ahead of time.
- Understand the facilitator’s or speaker’s style and content.
- Set the Tone and Expectations
- Begin the session with a warm welcome and overview of the agenda.
- Encourage respectful dialogue and active participation.
- Facilitate Participant Engagement
- Prompt attendees with questions to stimulate discussion.
- Manage group dynamics to ensure all voices are heard, balancing dominant and quieter participants.
- Use interactive tools like polls, chat, or breakout groups (for virtual) to boost involvement.
- Keep the Session on Track
- Monitor timing to cover all key points within the session schedule.
- Help redirect conversations if they go off-topic.
- Manage Q&A and Feedback
- Moderate question and answer segments smoothly, fielding questions from participants.
- Summarize key points or takeaways before closing.
- Provide Support to Facilitators
- Assist with technical needs or participant issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with technical staff if needed.
- Encourage Follow-Up
- Motivate participants to continue discussions or actions after the session ends.
