As part of SayProโs commitment to connecting students with meaningful work experiences, the Career Services Coordinator is responsible for actively sourcing, curating, and publishing internship opportunities on the SayPro website. This responsibility ensures that students have easy and timely access to relevant internships aligned with their skills, interests, and career goals.
Key Activities:
- Sourcing Internship Opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, NGOs, and public sector organizations to continuously source new internship listings.
- Regularly communicate with partners to update available opportunities and understand the specifics of each internship (role, duration, location, skills required).
- Screening and Curating Opportunities
- Review internship postings for relevance, quality, and alignment with SayProโs program focus areas and student skill levels.
- Ensure internships meet SayProโs standards for a positive and educational workplace experience.
- Categorize internships by field, location, and type to aid student navigation and application.
- Content Preparation and Posting
- Prepare clear, concise internship descriptions, including key details such as eligibility, responsibilities, application process, deadlines, and employer information.
- Format internship posts to be visually appealing and easy to read on the website.
- Update the SayPro internship portal or website regularly to reflect new and expiring opportunities.
- Website Maintenance and User Support
- Coordinate with the IT/web team to ensure internship listings are displayed correctly and that the application process is smooth.
- Monitor website analytics to understand student engagement with internship posts and make improvements as needed.
- Respond to student inquiries related to internship postings and application procedures.
- Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with the Career Services and Communications teams to promote internship opportunities via newsletters, social media, and other channels.
- Provide regular reports on the number and types of internships posted, student application rates, and feedback from employers and students.
