Who Should Consider Submitting:
While not mandatory, this portfolio is strongly recommended for applicants who:

  • Work directly or indirectly in the disability sector (education, advocacy, vocational training, support services, etc.).
  • Have experience in developing, implementing, or managing programs for individuals with disabilities.
  • Wish to demonstrate their commitment to inclusive practices, community engagement, or systemic change.

Purpose of the Portfolio:

The portfolio gives SayPro insight into the applicant’s:

  • Practical experience in the disability sector.
  • Contributions to inclusive education, life skills development, or vocational empowerment.
  • Readiness to meaningfully engage in SayPro discussions, workshops, and collaborative opportunities.

What to Include in the Portfolio:

You can include a combination of the following items, depending on your background and work:

1. Professional or Project Overview

  • A summary of your current or past roles in disability-related projects, programs, or organizations.
  • Descriptions of services delivered, populations served, and measurable outcomes (if available).

2. Samples of Work

  • Reports, case studies, lesson plans, or resource materials you have authored or contributed to.
  • Media links (videos, blogs, podcasts, publications) showcasing your involvement.

3. Testimonials or Endorsements

  • Brief letters or quotes from colleagues, beneficiaries, or supervisors highlighting your role and impact in the disability sector.

4. Certifications and Training Records

  • Relevant training or certifications in inclusive education, disability advocacy, assistive technologies, or therapeutic support.

5. Photos or Visual Documentation

  • Optional photos from events, workshops, or community programs you’ve led or participated in (ensure consent and privacy protocols are followed).

Format and Submission Guidelines:

  • File format: PDF or consolidated Word document (max size: 10MB).
  • Recommended length: 3 to 10 pages depending on depth and detail.
  • File name example: DisabilityPortfolio_YourName.pdf
  • Upload via the SayPro event registration portal during application.
