SayPro Entry Criteria: Original and Competition-Specific Submissions
To ensure fairness, creativity, and integrity across all entries, SayPro requires that all submissions meet specific originality standards. The following guidelines outline the expectations for submission content:
1. Original Work Requirement
- All entries submitted to SayPro must be original and the sole work of the individual or group submitting them.
- Submissions must not infringe on the intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, or moral rights of any other individual or entity.
2. Created Specifically for This Competition
- Entries must be created specifically for the SayPro competition to which they are being submitted.
- Previously published works, projects created for other competitions, or content that has been publicly displayed or commercially used in any form prior to submission are not eligible.
- Reusing, repurposing, or modifying past work is not permitted unless the changes result in a substantially new and original piece developed exclusively for SayPro.
3. Plagiarism and Use of Third-Party Content
- Any form of plagiarism—including copying text, graphics, media, or ideas from other sources without proper attribution—is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
- Use of third-party assets (e.g., stock images, templates, music, or code) is discouraged unless they are:
- Fully licensed for use,
- Clearly credited where required,
- And play a minor, supporting role in the submission (i.e., not forming the core or majority of the work).
4. Verification of Originality
- SayPro reserves the right to request proof of originality, including drafts, concept sketches, source files, or documentation of the creative process.
- All finalists and winners may be subject to a thorough originality check before final approval.
5. Ownership and Rights
- While entrants retain full ownership of their original work, by submitting to SayPro, participants grant SayPro the non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, publish, and display the submission for promotional, educational, or reporting purposes with appropriate credit.
6. Consequences of Non-Compliance
- Submissions that are found to be plagiarized, previously published, or not created specifically for the competition will be disqualified without exception.
- If the issue is discovered after results are announced, SayPro reserves the right to revoke awards, remove recognition, and request the return of any prizes or benefits granted.
