Position Summary:

The Institutional Strategy Consultant at SayPro is responsible for developing, advising, and implementing strategic initiatives across public, private, and non-profit institutions aligned with the SayPro framework. This role involves high-level consulting on organizational development, governance transformation, policy alignment, and institutional capacity building. The consultant provides evidence-based recommendations to support the institutional adoption of SayPro standards and tools in alignment with national and regional development priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting & Advisory

Provide expert strategic advice to institutional clients on governance, growth, performance optimization, and compliance within the SayPro framework.
Conduct institutional assessments, policy analysis, and environmental scans to identify strategic challenges and opportunities.
Develop and refine institutional development roadmaps, strategies, and operational plans aligned with SayPro values and methodologies.
Design frameworks for monitoring institutional impact and alignment with SayPro’s long-term outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate high-level consultations and workshops with executive teams, government officials, boards, and development partners.
Build trust-based relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of SayPro principles and deliverables.
Represent SayPro in institutional review boards, strategic meetings, and intergovernmental forums when required.

Research and Policy Support

Conduct strategic research, benchmarking, and data-driven analysis of institutional performance across sectors.
Draft policy briefs, strategy documents, institutional evaluations, and reports for internal and external dissemination.
Stay up to date with global best practices, policy shifts, and innovations in institutional strategy, governance, and development.

Capacity Building & Implementation

Design and deliver training, workshops, and tools to build strategic planning and execution capacity within institutions.
Support institutional change management processes using SayPro methodologies.
Provide implementation support and oversight for strategy roll-outs, institutional reforms, or new SayPro initiatives.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with SayPro’s governance and quality assurance systems.
Track project milestones, produce regular progress reports, and make course corrections as needed.
Conduct strategic reviews and post-implementation evaluations to assess impact and sustainability.

Key Deliverables:

Institutional strategy documents and implementation frameworks.
SWOT and PESTLE analysis reports for assigned institutions.
Executive briefing materials and advisory memos.
Capacity development tools, training modules, and presentations.
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) reports aligned with SayPro metrics.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Strategy, Political Science, International Development, or related field. A PhD is an advantage.

Experience:

At least 7 years of experience in institutional strategy, public sector reform, governance consulting, or policy advisory.
Demonstrated experience working with government ministries, agencies, NGOs, or international development partners.
Prior exposure to the SayPro framework or similar governance/strategy platforms preferred.

Skills:

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Knowledge of institutional governance models, strategic planning tools, and capacity development frameworks.
Familiarity with data analysis, M&E tools, and digital platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SayPro Platform tools (or willingness to be trained).
