SayPro Required Documents / Application Information: Proof of Identity and Optional Video Introduction
As part of its commitment to integrity, transparency, and personalized engagement, SayPro outlines the following expectations for identity verification and optional self-introduction:
1. Proof of Identity (Required)
To confirm eligibility and ensure the legitimacy of all participants, SayPro requires valid proof of identity for each applicant—whether applying individually or as part of a group.
a. Accepted Forms of Identification
Applicants must submit one clear and valid form of government-issued identification, which may include:
- National Identity Card
- Passport
- Driver’s License (with visible photo and date of birth)
- Birth Certificate (in limited cases, with accompanying secondary ID)
b. Submission Guidelines
- The ID should be scanned or photographed in high resolution.
- All information must be clearly visible, including:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth (to confirm age requirement of 16+)
- Expiry date (for IDs with expiration)
- Photograph (if applicable)
- The document must be submitted as part of the Submission Package PDF, or uploaded separately if required by the program platform.
c. Group Submissions
- Each group member must provide their own proof of identity.
- A summary table listing all members’ names and ID types may be included for clarity.
d. Privacy and Security
- SayPro treats all identity documents with the highest level of confidentiality and data protection.
- ID documents will be used strictly for verification purposes and will not be shared or published.
2. Optional Video Introduction (Encouraged)
SayPro offers applicants the opportunity to make a personal connection by submitting a short video introduction. While not mandatory, this element allows the selection team to better understand each applicant’s personality, passion, and motivation.
a. Purpose of the Video
- To give applicants a platform to express themselves beyond written documents.
- To share a brief summary of who they are, their background, and why they are applying.
- To highlight enthusiasm, creativity, and communication style.
b. Video Specifications
- Length: 1 to 2 minutes maximum
- Format: MP4, MOV, or a shareable video link (e.g., YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox)
- Language: English (or include English subtitles if spoken in another language)
- Orientation: Horizontal (landscape) preferred
c. Suggested Content
- Your name and location
- Brief personal or professional background
- Why you’re interested in SayPro
- What you hope to gain or contribute
- One interesting fact about yourself or your group
d. Submission Tips
- Speak naturally and clearly—no need for professional editing
- Ensure good lighting and sound quality
- Introduce group members briefly if submitted as a team
e. Submission Method
- Include the video file or link within the Submission Package PDF or submit it separately according to the competition guidelines.
