Objective:
To assess learnersโ practical competency and safe handling techniques by recording and submitting a short video demonstrating the correct use of a trade-specific tool.
Task Overview:
- Activity Type: Practical Video Submission
- Focus: Correct and safe use of a tool relevant to your registered trade
- Length: 1โ3 minutes
- Deadline: January 31st

Video Requirements:
- Introduction (10โ20 seconds)
- State your name, learner ID, and the name of the tool.
- Mention the trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
- Demonstration of Proper Use
- Show how to safely hold, operate, and use the tool.
- Highlight key safety precautions (e.g., PPE used, work area setup).
- Demonstrate at least one correct application or use-case of the tool (e.g., using a hand saw to cut wood, using a multimeter to test voltage).
- Conclusion
- Briefly mention any maintenance tips or storage advice for the tool.
- End the video with a clear shot of your face for verification.
- Video Quality
- Must be clear, well-lit, and audible.
- Can be recorded on a smartphone or camera.
- Must be in landscape (horizontal) orientation.
Examples of Acceptable Tools:

How to Submit:
- Log in to the SayPro LMS.

- Upload your video file (formats accepted: .mp4, .mov, or .avi).
- Name your file:

Assessment Criteria:
