Writing Milestones: Drafts and Revisions
As part of SayPro’s structured academic writing program, each participant is required to meet specific writing milestones for every assigned piece. These milestones are designed to promote disciplined writing habits, allow for in-depth instructor feedback, and encourage a revision-based approach to continuous improvement.

Each participant must complete the following for each full-length writing piece (minimum two per quarter):
- First Full Draft
A complete version of the writing assignment, meeting all length and content requirements. This draft demonstrates initial effort and understanding of the topic, and is submitted for instructor and peer feedback. - Revised Final Draft
A polished version of the same piece, improved based on feedback from instructors, peer reviewers, and self-assessment tools (e.g., revision checklist and progress log).

- Submitted with a completed Progress Log Entry
🔹 Revised Final Draft
- Incorporates feedback from instructors and peers
- Refines arguments, transitions, grammar, and citation formatting
- Demonstrates improvement in clarity, coherence, and originality
- Accompanied by a completed Revision Checklist and reflection in the Progress Log
